About this product

Same hex-head, rubber-coated design as most fixed dumbbells in this category, at a lighter 12 lb weight aimed at higher-rep sets, warm-ups, and upper-body isolation work.

Best for

  • • Warm-ups, higher-rep sets, and shoulder/arm isolation work

Not ideal for

  • • Lower-body training or anyone who will need to progress past light weight quickly

Pros

  • Comfortable weight for shoulder and arm isolation work
  • Rubber coating is gentle on floors
  • Affordable entry point

Cons

  • Too light for most lower-body or back exercises as you progress

Editor's verdict

A good light-weight companion pair rather than a primary strength tool — pairs well with an adjustable set for exercises that call for lighter load.
